Greenbrae is a tiny unincorporated community that's wedged in between Corte Madera and San Rafael, which of course are two of Marin County's largest cities in terms of population and area. Also located adjacent to Highway 101, living in Greenbrae is actually fairly convenient given the community's easy access to nearby amenities and attractions, not to mention Interstate 580, which acts as a direct route over to East Bay. One unique aspect about the Greenbrae community is that you won't find much of a traditional "downtown" here so-to-speak, but all along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, which acts as the area's primary thoroughfare, are a number of retail stores, banks, gas stations, restaurants, and even Marin General Hospital over near Sir Francis Drake and Bon Air Road.
